Shuttle Debuts Its Face Recognition Solution – The BR06

Shuttle has dedicated to developing face recognition solution for many years. Shuttle Inc., the global leader in small form factor computer technology, today announces its fanless model for a face recognition solution, providing more fast recognition speed, larger user database, and lower power consumption. The BR06 is particularly intended for small & medium business, government, banks, education and research institutions, and communities.
The BR06, featured the All-in-One design, is equipped with a 7-inch LCD single touch screen. This system is also built-in one IR camera and IR LEDs which allows the system to recognize facial features even in dimly lit environments, providing excellent recognition capability.

The BR06 is powered by an iTE 9866 SoC, which can effectively enhance the system’s capacity to handle face recognition during a database search. The BR06 is running by RTOS. Due to the small size of programs RTOS, it is particular used in embedded systems such as BR06 for any applications which run 24/7 permanent operation. In terms of identification success rate, its FAR (False Acceptance Rate) is less than 0.01%, while its FRR (False Rejection Rate) is less than 1%. The BR06 features fanelss design to reduce the power consumption and eliminate the noise produced by fan as well as the cost of replacing fans.
The BR06 is also installed with controllers, such as Weigand, RS232, RS485, and GPIO controllers, that support a variety of related peripherals, providing even more system application capabilities. The Weigand and GPIO controller, used in access control systems, can allow users to tighten the control of security in assessing portals while at the same time offering a VIP membership management to provide optimal service.

It is worth mentioning that the BR06, in addition to providing facial and RFID card reader recognition capability, can also be fitted with an optional fingerprint reader. Users can, based on their specific needs, add a second or even third authentication offering an even higher level of security.
